In June 2014, we established our dedicated grinding department, adding precision surface grinding and cylindrical grinding capabilities to our CNC turning and milling services.
This expansion was driven by growing demand from mold-and-die and hydraulic component clients who required tighter surface finishes (Ra 0.2 and below) and tighter tolerances (±0.002 mm) than standard CNC machining could reliably deliver.
We invested in three precision grinders from Okamoto and Jones & Shipman, and trained a team of 4 dedicated grinding specialists. Within 18 months, grinding had become 20% of our monthly output, serving clients in medical, hydraulic, and tooling industries.
